THE ZODIAC COLLECTION NEPHALOKOKKYGIA

What if the world we imagined was the world we chose to build?
My Zodiac Collection is inspired by Nephalokokkygia, the mythical “Cloud Cuckoo Land” from Aristophanes a city imagined above the world, somewhere between heaven and earth a place where our problems have been solved, a utopia. I’ve taken that idea and reimagined it as a place where humanity can pause, dream, and imagine what our world could become.
Each of the twelve paintings represents a zodiac sign, some inspired by real places, architecture, mythology, and civilizations that have shaped human history, and others completely imagined.
You’ll find buildings that already exist, places that carry stories of faith, conflict, discovery, beauty, and human achievement. Alongside them are impossible landscapes, utopian cities, ancient temples that may have never existed, and scenes borrowed from worlds beyond our own.
But beneath the zodiac symbols and architecture, there is one common idea:
A call for us to do better.
Throughout history, humans have created incredible things. We’ve built temples, gardens, cities, bridges, monuments, and entire civilizations. We’ve also created conflict, division, destruction, and suffering.
This collection asks: what if we used that same imagination and ability to create something better?
A world where beauty isn’t reserved for the few.
Where nature and architecture exist together.
Where different cultures can stand beside one another.
Where our greatest creations aren’t monuments to power, but places that bring people together.
The twelve signs become twelve different windows into that possibility — twelve dreams of what humanity could create if we chose cooperation over division, imagination over limitation, and hope over fear.
Nephalokokkygia isn’t a place on a map.
It’s the idea that somewhere in the clouds, there is a better world waiting for us to imagine it.
And maybe imagining it is where building it begins.
Welcome to my Zodiac Collection.
